MBA - Area Focus Electives - Strategy, Ethics & Entrepreneurship

Strategy, Ethics & Entrepreneurship

Darden has long been recognized for having one of the best entrepreneurship programs among all graduate business schools, with a curriculum that inspires purpose-driven, entrepreneurial leaders who will improve the world. Today, we offer more than 25 area-focused electives in strategy, ethics, and entrepreneurship related fields.

The academic journal Business & Society recognizes the Darden School of Business as the #1 MBA program in the field of business ethics.

The Honor Code, a venerable tradition at the University of Virginia, provides the foundation for a strong history of ethics. Ethics has been a formal part of the Darden required curriculum for over 20 years, as well as a popular area for several electives.

A full listing of all strategy, ethics, and entrepreneurship courses is available here.  For questions about any of these offerings, please contact Bobby Parmar.

In addition to courses, Darden encourages all students to develop their innovative thinking and entrepreneurial capabilities through a wide range of co-curricular programs in entrepreneurship and innovation. These include student clubs, conferences, workshops, boot camps, internships, fellowships, competitions, independent studies, mentorship, and a variety of early-stage venture development opportunities.

For a complete access to all of Darden’s curricular and co-curricular offerings in entrepreneurship, innovation, technology and related fields, please visit the Batten Institute, a center of research and education at Darden dedicated to inspiring purpose-driven entrepreneurial leadership.
