The Role of Local Culture in Conducting Global Business

In this course, students will explore:

• the complex interactions between Indigenous and Westernized culture and the resultant formation of a globally recognizable “Australian culture.” 
• the infusion of Australian culture into uniquely Australian businesses in industries such as transportation, financial services, sports, and viticulture.
• what lessons the world can learn from the Australian model with on-site observation and discussion of concepts related to relative national debt, open immigration policy, underpinnings of a “recession-proof” economy, and factors leading to governmental stability.
