Denise Karaoli joined Darden's Career Center in 2006 and was promoted to senior associate director in 2010 while also overseeing the Center's diversity initiatives.
As senior associate director of international programs, opportunities and diversity, Karaoli leads international and minority programming, business development and resource implementation. She also acts as a career adviser, primarily to international students and domestic students interested in working abroad. Karaoli serves as club liaison to Darden's Asian Business Club, Black Business Student Forum, African Business Organization, South Asia Society, European Society, GLAD, Hispanic American Network, International Business Society, Latin American Student Association and Emerging Market clubs, working to coordinate career development activities and company outreach.
Karaoli received an M.A. in international relations from the University of Kent. She spent the majority of her career with Asian, European and Middle Eastern marketing and consulting firms and served in senior leadership in higher education, serving at Harvard's Kennedy School of Government and in the President's and Provost's Office at the University of Virginia.
