Harry N. Lewis Distinguished Service Award
Named for Harry N. Lewis (MBA ’57), this award memorializes his commitment to Darden and serves to honor those who provide dedicated exceptional, longtime volunteer service to the School, a class or an alumni chapter.
The Distinguished Service Award is named for Harry N. Lewis (MBA ’57) and established with an endowment by his wife, Dearing Johns, in 2016 to honor his commitment to Darden and to promote and inspire engagement for future generations of alumni. Lewis was the first chair of the Alumni Association Board of Directors in 1964 and continued in an emeritus role for his lifetime. He has also served his class as agent for more than 60 years and been an active participant and leader in the Charlottesville chapter for many years.
This high honor is bestowed to an alumni volunteer leader who has:
- Dedicated exceptional, longtime volunteer service to the School, a class or an alumni chapter
- Demonstrates passionate and creative commitment to engaging more alumni in the ongoing life of the School
- Provides loyal financial support.
The Harry N. Lewis Distinguished Service Award is given during Darden's Annual Meeting, held in the fall.
