Jerry Peng (MBA ’03) is the former CEO and Chair of Tranlin Inc., a Chinese paper company that plans to put down significant roots in the U.S.
Tranlin recently broke ground on a $2 billion manufacturing plant outside of Richmond, Virginia.
The project, which will eventually employ 2,000 people and aims to set a new standard for environmental impact, is considered one of the largest Chinese greenfield manufacturing investments in the country.
An active alumnus, Peng is a former managing director of Goldman Sachs Asia and a member of the Darden School Foundation Board of Trustees.
