European Society
The European Society's mission is to promote awareness of Darden in Europe and grow appreciation of European culture, social and business affairs in the Darden community. The European Society concentrates on improving relationships between Europeans and students/ alumni from all over the world and focuses on three particular areas:
- Provide all students at Darden with opportunities to engage with European culture and traditions
- Guide Darden students with an interest in European careers and broaden recruiting opportunities in that continent
- Attract talented European students and support them in their admission process

Although this organization has members who are University of Virginia students and may have University employees associated or engaged in its activities and affairs, the organization is not a part of or an agency of the University. It is a separate and independent organization which is responsible for and manages its own activities and affairs. The University does not direct, supervise or control the organization and is not responsible for the organization’s contracts, acts or omissions.

The European Society hosts a variety of events and activities throughout the year:
- Oktoberfest celebration and visits to vineyards & breweries
- European cooking classes and tastings
- European sports/ board games afternoons
- Speaker series with European leaders

I wanted a communal campus-based US MBA experience while still broadening my horizons. Darden outperformed on both aspects. Additionally, I founded my own company while studying and built an extensive entrepreneurial and investment network in Charlottesville and beyond.
